Steel Rain was inspired by the current global madness.   Named after an article I found on the internet while researching this project. (see below)

 

Few notes of explanation:

I purposely left off any insignia of nationality as no group of people has a monopoly on barbarism.

 

The middle thumbnail is of a cluster bomb just opening.  The smiling healthy children are its potential victims, thus the black borders.

 

The bottom thumbnail shows images of actual children killed or wounded by cluster bombs.  They are bordered in blood red.

 

The two articles below tell something about these weapons of mass destruction and their horrible carnage during and long after their deployment.
