cup chopped onion
- 2
Tbs. margarine
- 1
lb. ground chuck
- 2
1 lb. cans kidney beans
- 2
1 lb. cans tomatoes
- 1
6 oz can tomato paste
- 1
1/2 cups water
- 1
cup chopped celery
- 1
cup chopped green pepper
- 2/3
tsp. chili powder
- 1
1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2
tsp. oregano
- 1/4
tsp. pepper
- 1
bay leaf
- dash
of Tabasco sauce

- Fry
onion and meat until meat browns.
Using only 1/2 of the celery and green pepper add rest of
ingredients.
Simmer for a least one hour, adding rest of celery and green
pepper half an hour before serving.
Freezes well.
