- 3/4 cups shortening
- 1 cup boiling water or hot milk
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 Tbs. yeast
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
- 7 1/2 cups flour

- Melt shortening in boiling water or
milk. Mix eggs, sugar,
salt and cold water. Soften
yeast in lukewarm water. Combine
3 mixtures and flour. Cover
and chill overnight. Bake
at 425º until browned.
